Tersiram Air Panas

Sudah tidak terasa sudah 6 bulan saya sudah berada di Singapura. Ini adalah kali kedua saya harus membeli obat di sini. Obat yang pertama adalah panadol flu, yang harganya sekitar 50rb rupiah.

Kemarin badan tersiram air panas.

Aspire One D150

I own the black one. The color of the keyboard frame is metallic silver, very cool. There are other color beside black, red, white, dan blue. But I think the black is the best of all (according to the person sell it and I agree with him). I use this notebook for browsing the Internet mostly, typing and editing photo using Photoshop. Yes, you can use Photoshop with it. Although the view is not very nice, but I’m not complaining. After all, it’s a netbook, it has small screen. It’s a powerful stuff. I also use InDesign with this netbook. Once again, the view is very limited, especially when I view my page in full page.

Unfortunately, it came with Microsoft XP Home Edition. I prefer the Professional Edition instead. The Home Edition has limited features rather than the Professional Edition. I have to download the Tweaking Tools from Microsoft website to be able to configure things. Ok, enough about the operating system, I want to tell about Aspire One D150, not XP Home. Another thing to mention, since I bought it, I’ve never brought it outside my house except to J-Co at Mall Galaxy. I wanted to try the WiFi connection there and testing my netbook. The WiFi feature run smoothly.
The are lots of feature came along with this cute small thing. The Bluetooth is ok. I tried to transfer file from my Sony Ericsson using Bluetooth to this netbook, and the result is fine. You cannot demand the connection using Bluetooth to be as fast as using USB though. Just press the button at the upper left corner of this netbook to turn the Bluetooth.

I put SD card into the card reader slot and have never took it off from there except when I need to transfer the data to my PC. There are three USB port, one on the left, and two on the right. I use the left one for my 3G modem, Sierra 881u, and use one one the right for my mouse’s nano receiver. I put my flash disk or my external hard drive into the other USB port on the right.

Ok, before I forget to mention. I need to tell you about the WiFi, it started automatically when you login, meaning it turns on automatically. There is a light indicator that will be blinking, showing that the WiFi is turning on. I just don’t like this WiFi’s toggle button. The other thing that I don’t really like is the button at the touch pad. But, it doesn’t bother me again after I have had my mouse, the VX Nano.

About the keyboard, I still think it rather too small for my fingers. But, hey, it’s a netbook, what do you expect? An ordinary size keyboard?

This netbook came with 6 cells battery. Nice, I can browsing for about 7 hours using WiFi, and about 5 hours when I use my 3G modem (it consumes power to since I have to stick it into one of the USB port).

Overall, I love it. The design is great, the performance is great, the hardisk space is big enough, 160GB, the RAM is ok, 1GB, and not to mention the build-in webcam and microphone. Cool stuff.

My new 3G Modem - Sierra 881u

I bought my Sierra881u on March 2009. I love it. I paid it for Rp900.000,00, which contains one 3G modem GPS ready, one battery, one USB docking, and two CDs. Why I love it? Cause it’s tough, not easily heated. And the other reason I bought it cause it appeared in one of Japanese series. The actor use it along with HP Mini 1000. It looks cool.

Just insert the provider SIM card into the slot and place the battery. The battery didn’t have to be charged first. You can use it right away. First, install the driver, and then plug the 881 into the USB port. Set the connection according to the 3G provider you use. Usually the provider provide the information about how to set up the connection.

The docking is a great tool. It come very handy. I use it very often at home, but I don’t bring it when I’m going mobile. I heard that there is an antenna for this modem, and I think it will improve the signal quality if I had it. I am still looking for the antenna. You can use the modem for a very long time and never get disconnected. I live in area near a university, and I guess there are lots of students using the same 3G provider that I use. I don’t think I will be purchased another product, not because I love it very much, but because there is not a good 3G provider in Indonesia yet.

If you loose the battery, or the battery become out of service, you can buy the battery for just Rp90.000,00. The dimension of this product is 9cm long, 4 cm wide, and 2 cm thick. The USB connector is foldable. I’ll put some pictures of this product soon.

The GPS is also a great feature. I tried to use it once, and like it. I’ve never used it since, because I’ve never needed it very much. You can use the GPS with the software it provides or you can use Google map automatically when click at the coordinate when you’ve got the satellite.

Information Technology

Imagining lots of works to be done made me so hard to wake up. It's seems so very very hard to open my eyes. I must call this week 'a week of IT' cause lots of works must be done related to IT. Even on Sunday I have to do IT things. Yes, this Sunday.

I think it's nice though to do such things. There are lots of ups and downs. Like last year, when I participate in ICT Award 2007. It gave lots of memories. I put a photo when I was in Jakarta. It was held in JCC for about 3 days if I can recall it.

Anyway, recently, I still got this lazy things. Do not have any good moods to do anything.

Genesis

Let's call my first post as the Genesis. It took me a very long time to write since I signed up this blog. A little bit of confusion, about what should I put in this blog, should I put all of my thoughts in here, should I trust the world, or anything like that.

My English is not very good, but I hope you could understand the things I write. And I hope this blog could me my English becomes better and better. Feel free to give advices or comments to me.

small bUt HEAVY... where those come from? I cannot recall, but for sure I am not small and I am not heavy. Wanna be free is what I like to be. Aaahhh... thinking about that, it's a beautiful world.

I am just an ordinary guy from Indonesia. You can call me -nj-. A very nice place that best known of its thousand of islands. Lots of things could be explore in here. So many cultures, people... I have a dream to go around the world, visiting as many places as I can. But, I still cannot make it come true. First, financial problem that's for fact, and second, still don't have a gut to do it.

Let this blog represent me to the world. See me as you've never seen me before (for all of you that have known me before), and I'm welcoming the world to enter into my life.
